On July 10th, Geoffrey Schladow, Professor of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at UC Davis, University of California and Director of Lake Tahoe Environmental Research Center, along with Prof. Bernard Laval of the University of British Columbia have visited Lake Iseo, discussing future scientific collaborations between the research groups.
On Thursday 25 of May a Technical visit is planned for the Environmental Hydraulics class to two of the largest reversible hydropower plants in Europe, i.e., San Fiorano and Edolo. On our way back we’ll visit also the smaller but very interesting powerplant of Paravisio

It is on line a virtual flight under the surface of Lake Iseo. In addition to providing an unprecedent view of the bathymetry of one of the deepest italian lakes (-258 m), the movie provides interesting clues on some geomorphologic and hydrodynamic processes characterizing this lake.

On November 2013, Prof. Nobuyuki Tamai, Emeritus Professor at Tokio University and Past President of IAHR International Association for Hydro –Environment Engineering and Research will be a guest of our Department. For the occasion, he will deliver a set of lectures on:
Eco-compatible design and management criteria of hydraulic structures experiences in Japan
The lectures will be organised as in the following:
3 days of lectures 8 hours overall 3+3+2 45 minutes + 15 break to students of the course of Hydraulic Structures (English_taught, Prof. Roberto Ranzi) and of Hydraulic Structures (Italian_taught, Professor Bacchi)

Thursday 21.11 from 1030 to 1330
